Location: Pittsburgh, PA

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual with experience in law firm billing to join our team as a Billing Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance in the legal billing field and contribute to the smooth financial operations of a great firm.

As a Billing Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable, overseeing invoicing, and maintaining direct communication with clients to ensure timely payments. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate billing and keeping meticulous records of payments and invoices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate directly with Partners, support staff, and clients regarding billing and payment inquiries.
Disburse retainer funds and send relevant correspondence to clients.
Process pre-bills, including editing and adding time entries.
Prepare and submit invoices electronically or by mail.
Edit and generate invoices for electronic billing systems such as TyMetrix 360, LegalX, BottomLine Technologies, Mitratech, and CounselLink.
Perform conflicts checks and open new files as needed.
Take on other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
High ethical standards and integrity.
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Solid knowledge of billing and financial concepts.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in law firm billing.
Experience with Prolaw/ELITE is a plus.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience.
