Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for the legal field?
We are seeking a seasoned Legal Secretary to join our fast-paced and dynamic law firm. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to our attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of the office in Shreveport, La.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to assigned attorneys and paralegals, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and preparing travel arrangements.
Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documents with accuracy and efficiency.
Manage and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are organized and readily accessible.
Prepare and proofread legal documents, ensuring adherence to legal formatting and citation styles.
Answer phones and screen calls, directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Process invoices, maintain office supplies, and perform other administrative duties.
Stay up-to-date on legal terminology and procedures.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role.
Strong typing skills (minimum 60 wpm) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures (a plus).
