We are actively hiring a paralegal eager to play a crucial role in supporting a busy and reputable firm in the Capital Region.
Responsibilities
• Data entry into firm's electronic database and storage system
• Organize and maintain electronic database, storage system and physical files
• Assist attorney's and case coordinators with day to day handling of files and caseloads
• Communicate with clients by phone and email
• Communicate basic information with insurance adjusters via phone, email and fax
• Receive and process mail, scan into electronic storage data base, disburse as needed.
• Assist attorneys and/or case coordinators by contacting and updating information
• Draft basic legal documents for attorney review, file with various county clerks and/or serve accordingly
Requirements
• Previous experience as a paralegal
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, take initiative, and have the ability to manage a demanding workload
• Detail oriented and organized
• A self-starter with an innovative mindset
• Work with strict deadlines
• Associates Degree required, Bachelors preferred
