This position reports to Compliance and Legal Departments.
Job Description:
• Assist with ensuring insurance adjuster license appointments for all lines of business and in all jurisdictions are timely made, renewed and tracked.
• Assist with ensuring Third-Party Administrator licenses are also timely renewed and tracked.
• Work with onboarding teams, claims teams, training teams and IT teams to ensure adjusters are aware of upcoming renewals, ensure renewals are timely made and ensure adjuster license information is added to claim system and monitoring systems.
• Research and reviews current state and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance by company and report changes in adjuster and TPA renewals to Management so changes in systems, if needed, can be implemented.
• Handles and assists with direct appointments for all Florida insurance Adjusters, Washington insurance Adjusters and insurance Adjusters in all other states requiring direct appointments.
• Tracks the license and appointment status for company and all adjusters in all states and all lines of business.
• Works with third-party systems or vendors, including, but not limited to, state registry websites, state registry portals, WebCE and CLM to assist with tracking adjuster appointments.
• Works with adjusters, third-party vendors and accounting team to assist with reimbursement for any license fees and/or CE courses.
• Work with Human Resources to ensure adjusters who leave company do not continue to maintain company
• Adds adjuster licensing information, including state of licenses, line of business(es) and expiration dates in claim handling software systems as well as tracking any information in any additional back-up systems (i.e. Excel).
• Assist with on-boarding new personnel to discuss adjuster licenses required,
• Conducts audits and/or works with QA Department to confirm licenses are in place for individuals and license information is properly in claim system.
• Work with Training Department to obtain information on Continuing Education (CE) courses for adjusters and track adjuster’s completion of CE courses required for license maintenance.
• Perform analysis and audits to identify areas for process improvements and make recommendations to the Manager. TPR Licensing
• Create and review reports generated relating to adjuster information, CE information and TPA license information to review for any renewals and report missing information to managers.
• Assists Compliance Department with Adjuster licensing verifications, reporting to all Unit Managers monthly.
• Completes and mails, applications, renewals and form letters as directed.
• Assists with compliance with state regulatory reporting requirements.
Education / Licensing:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• FL Adjuster’s License preferred.
• 2+ years' experience working with state or regulatory agencies on licensing or compliance matters.
