The ideal candidate will be experienced and detail-oriented Estimator for Lighting Quotations. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for lighting projects, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with our sales and design teams to meet both company and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Cost Estimates: Examine project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create precise cost estimates for lighting projects.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate with sales, design, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and thorough quotations.
• Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and vendors to gather competitive pricing and availability information.
• Analyze Project Details: Review bid specifications, drawings, and project documents to determine scope of work and material requirements.
• Strategic Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis to maximize project profitability and maintain a competitive edge.
• Maintain Organized Records: Keep detailed and organized records of all estimates, including costs, specifications, and other essential data.
• Client Interaction: Work directly with clients to clarify project details and address any questions regarding estimates.
• Stay Informed on Trends: Keep up-to-date with industry developments, products, and market conditions to provide accurate and relevant estimates.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Proven experience in estimating within construction or a related industry.
• Education: High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in estimating software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively independently and within a team setting.
