ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*May perform any or all of the following*
Candidates will be considered only with at least 5+ years working in a law firm as a Litigation legal assistant.
Strong technical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. This position requires keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight time constraints.
Responsible for case management of active files, including reviewing documents for accuracy, scheduling and docketing requests, compiling documents for preparation of analyses, and electronic files.
Physical attendance and punctuality at the place of work.
Performs additional duties as instructed and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of court filing and scheduling procedures.
Thorough knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and business English;
Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize workload, and adjust to changing priorities as needed;
Ability to deal effectively with candidates, attorneys’ and co-workers;
Ability to type at 70 words per minute;
Ability to lift and move 10 lbs;
Active listening, reading, service orientation, coordination, and social perceptiveness;
Knowledge of office skills such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and composition of simple business letters;
Ability to organize time efficiently among a variety of duties;
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Federal and State court electronic filing, knowledge of Imanage/FileSite, a plus.
Hours are 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, with the flexibility to work extra hours as needed.
5 plus years of previous law firm experience in Litigation.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal skills, business English spelling and grammar.
Excellent time management and organization skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize workload, and adjust to changing priorities.
Friendly, cooperative manner and good team spirit.
Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments.

Employees must talk and hear. They are often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Employee is subject to inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
