Job Opportunity: Loan Coordinator (Loan Experience Required)
Location: Greenwood, SC
Position Type: Temporary (with potential for full-time employment)
Salary Range: $27.69 - $29.23 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Loan Coordinator to join our team in managing federal and private loan certifications, disbursements, and reconciliations. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and provides essential guidance to applicants, families, and the public regarding financial aid eligibility and resources. Key responsibilities include processing funds and supporting the financial aid application process. You’ll work closely under the direction of the Director of Financial Aid in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: At least 2 years of professional financial aid experience or related work in a regulated financial environment. Customer service experience in a structured setting preferred. Familiarity with Banner software is a plus.
Skills: Strong knowledge of federal Title IV financial assistance regulations. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in computer systems and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
