We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Specialist with experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, and operations. This role involves collaborating on international and domestic logistical planning, managing routing and shipping systems, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Experience:
Required:
2+ years in logistics/transportation/supply chain/operations.
Basic understanding of shipping systems, routing, and practices.
Understanding of basic accounting practices, processes, and systems.
Preferred:
2+ years in freight forwarding: Air Freight (AF) Expeditor &/or Air Courier environment, and Ocean Freight experience.
Experience with expedited ground, LTL ground, vendor/agent/carrier management.
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Experience with Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate on international and domestic logistical planning .
Ensure routing is in place and moves are executed timely. Verify with Operations (Ops), Agents, and Carriers regarding discrepancies. Follow up through Proof of Delivery (POD) status.
Alert Ops/Customer Service (CS)/Management to any discrepancies in real time.
Review pickups, deliveries, transfers, and freight searches.
Work with management to locate missing or damaged freight.
Manage agent/carrier relationships and update Ops/Management on evaluations and changes.
Conduct independent research and resolve PO/variance/matching/receiving issues.
Utilize Power BI to analyze logistics data and generate reports.
