We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong technical background to work in the food or beverage manufacture industry.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in facility and equipment maintenance, including preventive maintenance program development and implementation. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of plant machinery and systems to ensure efficient and safe production.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance activities to maximize production quality and efficiency.
Execute repair and replacement of factory equipment, machinery, and systems. Assist in managing external contractors and vendors for facility-related projects. Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, materials, and parts. Support the facility’s SQF Code Quality and Food Safety System.
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to maintenance and systems.
Engage in project management tasks and collaborate with teams to meet company goals.
Safely lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
Assist in dismantling, moving, installing, or repairing machinery as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of technical experience in the food or beverage industry.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance program development and prioritization.
Excellent communication skills for disseminating information to staff and management.
General project management experience and ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong accountability, attention to detail, and follow-through skills.
Ability to understand and communicate technical issues and their impact on projects. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
