Our client is growing and looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer.

Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer for Cable Assembly is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of cable assembly processes. This role ensures the efficient production of high-quality cable assemblies used in various industries, such as electronics, automotive, telecommunications, and medical devices. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production teams to identify process improvements, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development and Optimization:
Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for cable assembly to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Continuously analyze and optimize existing cable assembly processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and test new cable assembly techniques, machinery, and technologies.
Ensure that all assembly processes are in compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Quality Control and Assurance:
Establish and monitor quality control processes for cable assemblies, ensuring that products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Work with the quality assurance team to perform regular inspections and audits of cable assemblies.
Investigate and resolve product defects or failures, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Equipment and Tooling Management:
Select and maintain the necessary equipment and tools for efficient cable assembly, including crimping, soldering, and testing devices.
Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and repairs of assembly equipment.
Evaluate the need for new tooling, equipment upgrades, or automation to improve production efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain detailed documentation on manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cable assembly.
Prepare production reports, including yield analysis, process performance data, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure that all records comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, or related industries.
Experience with cable assembly processes such as crimping, soldering, molding, and testing is highly preferred.
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
