Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
5 or more years of experience as a manager in the manufacturing industry.
Strong background in aluminum end manufacturing, metal forming, or similar high-speed manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) with strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the manufacturing process and maintaining equipment in optimal condition. This role includes proposing actions for continuous improvement in production processes to enhance productivity and product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish a maintenance system to ensure the proper functioning of can and end-making machines.
Coordinate preventive or corrective maintenance schedules with mechanics and supervisors.
Provide necessary support to achieve the planning and execution of the production schedule.
Set objectives to ensure optimal product quality in the warehouse and on time.
Maintain budgetary control of industrial expenses related to manufacturing.
Control the correct use of raw materials and supplies to ensure optimal performance and meet specified production standards.
Ensure product quality and adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Provide resources for continuous improvement of the manufacturing process.
Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) across the production line.
Coordinate mechanical and electrical work to maintain the effectiveness of production equipment.
Manage project implementation for initiatives that represent significant savings in manufacturing areas.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Manage resources to maintain efficient and productive operations.
Ensure that both short- and long-term manufacturing goals are achieved.
Foster a proactive and collaborative team environment.
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
Enforce safety rules and ensure staff compliance with safety regulations in the manufacturing area.
Ensure compliance with GMP and Food Safety Quality System requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with the policies, procedures, and processes established by the organization.
