Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Client Services Team Lead, the Medical Records Request Specialist assists paralegals and attorneys in requesting and obtaining medical and pharmacy records for specific cases. You will play a key role in ensuring that our legal teams have the necessary information to support their cases, all while maintaining organization and accuracy. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Request medical and pharmacy records from facilities either directly or through third-party vendors.
-Access vendor portals to download case-related medical and pharmacy records.
-Review and assess the relevance of medical and pharmacy records to the case at hand.
-Ensure that all intake information is documented accurately in our case management system.
-Maintain and update the case management evidence database to ensure proper documentation is available for the legal team.
-Organize and manage records efficiently, ensuring that information is accessible to the legal team in a timely manner.
-Follow up on requests and maintain communication with healthcare providers or third-party vendors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

-High school diploma required; institutional degree in a related field preferred.
-Knowledge of medical terminology and/or experience in the medical field is strongly preferred.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to follow up independently.
-Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
-Ability to perform internet research and navigate software programs with ease.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Download medical and pharmacy records from vendor portals and other approved sources.
-Assess records for relevance to the case and ensure they are documented appropriately in the case management system.
-Maintain the case management evidence database and update it as new information is obtained.
-Provide timely and accurate records to paralegals, attorneys, and other legal team members as needed.
