Job Description: As a Medical Records Review Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure they meet regulatory and company standards. Your attention to detail and expertise in medical documentation will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our medical records and supporting our legal team. This position is supporting a Personal Injury Law Firm.
Key Responsibilities:
-Review and analyze medical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
-Identify and document discrepancies, errors, and missing information in medical records.
-Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to obtain necessary information and clarify documentation.
-Ensure that all medical records are properly maintained and updated.
-Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medical records review.
-Stay current with industry regulations and best practices in medical records management.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records review or a related field.
-Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare documentation, and regulatory requirements. -Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software.
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers and administrative staff.
