Medical Appointment Scheduler
Medical Appointment Schedulers are responsible for managing patient appointments, whether for routine checkups or specialist consultations. As the first point of contact for patients, they must be efficient, organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls and schedule patient appointments.
Register new patients and update existing patient profiles.
Coordinate with medical professionals to arrange consultations and procedures.
Verify insurance coverage and explain payment procedures to patients.
Ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
Maintain an organized schedule that accommodates emergency or urgent appointment requests.
Monitor and follow up on canceled or missed appointments.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
Keep track of doctor availability and update the appointment schedule accordingly
