This PAYROLL ANALYST Position Features:

1. **Payroll Processing**: Manage the processing of weekly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payrolls from beginning to end. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in payroll completion.

2. **Compliance Oversight**: Monitor and review records to ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations and other payroll requirements. Prepare for audits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

3. **Data Management**: Import hours, fringes, and backup information into electronic databases. Monitor data feeds, conduct audits, and verify documents to support efficient payroll processing.

4. **Reconciliations and Year-End Activities**: Lead quarterly and annual reconciliations. Manage Year-End processing, including W-2 preparation.

5. **Administration Support**: Process various administrative payments, reports, and compliance activities related to benefits administration.

6. **Issue Resolution**: Investigate, document, and resolve discrepancies and errors promptly. Maintain reporting and compliance with internal accounting practices.

7. **Reporting and Analysis**: Generate ad hoc reports from HRIS systems for different stakeholders. Perform periodic internal audits in collaboration with internal or external auditors.

8. **Collaboration and Support**: Assist in other Project Administration tasks as needed, working closely with HRIS/IT resources to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:

- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is mandatory.
- Must possess at least 5 years of comprehensive payroll experience across multiple states. Experience with prevailing wage and Project Labor Agreements is advantageous. A mix of education and experience will be taken into account.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems is a prerequisite, with a preference for expertise in Ultimate Software's platforms (UKG Pro and UKG Ready).
- While not obligatory, holding a Certified Payroll Professional (“CPP”) certification is a plus.

- Proven capacity to conduct research, seek assistance when needed, and devise innovative solutions for real-time issues with consistent follow-up.
- Solid grasp of California labor laws, regulations, practices, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks and setting priorities.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting and delivering results within strict deadlines.
- Adaptable team player who can easily adjust to various situations.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite, Acrobat Adobe, and Labor Compliance Software, UKG Pro, UKG Ready, LCP Tracker, Points North, etc.
