HR Assistant/Payroll
Marin County
Compensation: $25-26

Job Purpose:
Assist with workers’ compensation, leaves of absence, HRIS, benefits administration, new hire processing and orientation, and compliance. Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll. Ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time, while also supporting HR processes

Essential Functions:

• HRIS data and management reports (Paycom experience a plus)
• Create ad-hoc reports on demand
• Run monthly benefits eligibility reports
• Conduct new hire orientation, new hire paperwork and assist in recruiting process.
• Conduct background checks
• Assist with workers’ compensation
• Coordinates benefits administration
• Coordinates 401(k) eligibility and set-up
• Onboarding/off boarding


Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years HR experience
• The ability to type at a minimum of 35 wpm.
• The capability to keep tasks and information organized and prioritized.
• The capacity to learn new procedures and tasks quickly and completely.
• The ability to read and write efficiently
• The capacity to communicate effectively with staff.
• The competence to multi-task various duties of the job.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all records and information
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask.
• Must have excellent research Skills.
