Payroll Administrator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Clients Company. This role is crucial in managing payroll processes for their construction division, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage payroll for construction employees, including prevailing wage and union workers.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act.
Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports as required.
Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations, particularly those related to the construction industry.
Assist with the preparation of certified payroll reports and other documentation required for government contracts.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll administration, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws and regulations.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
