We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Weekly Payroll Processing: Manage the calculation and processing of employee wages, including regular pay, overtime, and deductions for a team of up to 200 employees.
Ensure timely and precise payroll delivery.

Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll laws to guarantee compliance. Keep abreast of tax law changes and labor regulations that impact payroll processes.

Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll records, including employee details, hours worked, wages, tax withholdings, and deductions, ensuring secure storage of all information.

Issue Resolution: Act as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries, addressing discrepancies and resolving issues promptly to support our employees.

Certified Payroll Management: Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act and state prevailing wage laws. Ensure accurate reporting of hours, wages, job classifications, and fringe benefits, while maintaining readiness for audits.

Coordination with HR: Collaborate closely with the Human Resources team to ensure the accuracy of employee information, including onboarding, terminations, and pay rate adjustments.

Confidentiality: Manage sensitive employee information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:

Recent experience with Paychex is required.
Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
