Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in processing payroll for our organization. You will use your clerical expertise and time accounting experience to ensure accurate calculations and timely disbursements of wages, salaries, taxes, and other withholdings. This position also requires preparation of routine reports, payments to agencies, and other adjustments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

-Calculate and process wages, salaries, deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
-Post payroll data and prepare routine reports for internal and external stakeholders.
-Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including preparing payments for government agencies and insurance companies.
-Process special checks and reviews, making necessary adjustments.
-Edit and make corrections to payroll data as needed to ensure accuracy.
-Maintain accurate payroll records and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

-Strong experience in payroll, clerical tasks, and time accounting.
-Proficiency with payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
-Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
