This role will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for our employees while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll principles and a proven track record of success utilizing Paylocity.
Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for a diverse workforce, including salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees.
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the Paylocity system, including employee information, time and attendance, and deductions.
Calculate and process payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes.
Prepare and distribute paychecks and process direct deposits.
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports as needed.
Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
Proven experience with Paylocity software.
Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax laws, and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
