Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to the financial success of the organization.
Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and processing employee payroll, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll systems, and a deep understanding of tax regulations and labor laws to maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain and update employee records, including hours worked, deductions, and tax information.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
Review and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues promptly.
Calculate and administer employee benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate compensation and reporting.
Prepare and file payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as required.
Stay current with changes in tax laws, labor regulations, and payroll software.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or payroll administration.
Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefit administration.
Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
