Job Description:
The Production Planner will be responsible for executing planning strategies to ensure on-time order delivery. This role will oversee planning processes, procedures, and production order execution to optimize on-time deliveries. The main objective is to manage end-to-end tracking of production orders, ensuring that committed delivery dates are met while proactively notifying management of potential delays so that corrective actions can be taken to minimize any impact.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
Extract data from the SAP system and generate reports to track orders based on priority and committed material availability dates.
Assess production schedules to confirm alignment with delivery targets.
Ensure order lead times are realistic according to the established lead times for each product family.
Maintain a daily focus on escalated orders, improvement requests, and urgent or backlogged orders.
Proactively communicate with internal teams, providing updates on production status.
Manage the sequencing, execution, and prioritization of orders.
Ensure that unexpected delays do not affect delivery timelines.
Create, analyze, and publish weekly delivery metrics, identifying reasons for any missed orders.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or industrial engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, production, or planning within a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with an ERP system (SAP preferred).
Understanding of manufacturing processes.
Experience in materials management and production scheduling in a production setting.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
