Summary:
The Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of production planning and scheduling, leading a team of planners to ensure efficient workflow, resource optimization, and on-time delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Description:
· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planners, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective execution of planning activities.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the planning department as well as across all functional departments.
· Engage with the sales and production teams to coordinate work orders and ensure 98% OTD to customers.
· Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive production plans, aligning with customer requirements, and production capacity.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, minimize lead times, and meet production targets.
· Analyze production capacity and resource constraints to optimize resource utilization across multiple projects and production lines.
· Collaborate with department managers to prioritize production activities, allocate resources effectively, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, including on-time delivery and manufacturing level loading.
· Analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to meet customer OTD requirements and the ISC standard of 98%.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, optimize production workflows, and improve overall departmental performance.
· Lead cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements, best practices, and lean manufacturing principles.
