Project Overview:
The role involves supporting the Third-Party Management Team in designing and implementing a risk management program that aligns with regulatory requirements. The consultant will assist in building the program from the ground up, developing the due diligence process, and creating a sustainable framework for vendor management and oversight.

Contractor Role:
The selected candidate will work closely with the organization to reassess and optimize operational procedures and guidelines, ensuring alignment with organizational leadership directives, industry standards, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical in enhancing and evolving risk management strategies.

Level: Senior
Qualifications:
Proven experience in designing and implementing a risk program from the ground up.
Experience with third-party oversight, and ideally, exposure to working with Big 4 consulting firms.
10+ years of experience in Risk and Control, with a deep understanding of risk management frameworks.
Expertise in developing, designing, and sustaining programs for vendor management, first line of defense, or strategic management.
Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive program development with minimal direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with consulting and/or contingent labor clients/suppliers.
Prior experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional service and support throughout the lifecycle of risk management initiatives.
Design and implement enterprise-wide third-party risk management processes, and oversee their rollout and maturation.
Develop and periodically review program documentation, including risk methodologies, service categories, and associated risk profiles.
Maintain and update key program artifacts such as the Third-Party Management Practice Standard, training materials, and operational procedures.
Develop comprehensive training materials, conduct firm-wide training sessions, and ensure successful training outcomes.
Stay informed on regulatory updates, providing guidance on the impact of changes and adjusting the enterprise-wide program accordingly.
Collaborate with stakeholders to review and prioritize user specifications for technology enablement and process automation.
Oversee the monitoring and reporting of third-party risks, ensuring the program evolves to meet changing needs and enhances the organization’s risk management capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for technology enablement within the Third-Party Management Program.
Drive continuous improvement of the risk management program by analyzing effectiveness and proposing enhancements to ensure it remains aligned with evolving regulatory standards.
