As a Project Accountant, you will be integral in managing the financial components of construction projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on budget.

Key Details:
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Location: 100% onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316

Responsibilities:
Review and process project-related contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements, ensuring compliance with required clauses and details.
Accurately and promptly handle general job cost invoices and subcontractor billings.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed.
Maintain organized physical and digital records for all project documentation.
Reconcile monthly inventories and conduct material analyses as directed.
Ensure processing of all project costs, including equipment, materials, supplies, and miscellaneous expenses.
Execute closeout functions, including reconciliations, financial status reports, final invoices, and comprehensive reporting.
Support the time and effort reporting system, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Review unit entries and reconciliations prepared by support staff.
Guarantee timely payments to all subcontractors and major suppliers.
Generate financial statements and reports from various data sources.
Assist in other accounting areas to facilitate timely month-end closings.
Perform additional duties and contribute to special projects as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction cost accounting and financial procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 300 and Procore.
Familiarity with the construction industry landscape.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment.
