Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead design teams for diverse Life and Workplaces design projects, including mixed-use, corporate, and multi-family residential developments. This role focuses primarily on large, high-rise commercial and mixed-use construction projects. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project management, ensuring successful project execution from concept through to close-out.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and provide direction for the execution of the entire project lifecycle.
Manage all aspects of project management, including client management, project scope development, design documentation, production coordination, planning, organizing, quality control, and project delivery.
Ensure efficient project risk, contract, and financial management.
Oversee internal and external resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, financial information, client correspondence, and project schedules.
Manage work on all phases of various architectural and interior design projects, assisting with project pursuit, proposal preparation, budget, and schedule.
Foster effective communication with project teams, project executives, and operations management.
Guide the design team through schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Coordinate with external consultants and occasionally interface with the client’s construction manager.
Mentor junior design staff and provide guidance for career development.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships while seeking new business opportunities to grow the corporate and mixed-use design practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensable degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Construction Management.
Minimum of 10 years of job-related vertical design experience, with a preference for corporate urban or commercial design experience.
At least 5 years of project management experience; PMP certification is a plus.
Proficiency with MS Suite and MS Project (or other scheduling software); familiarity with Deltek Vision or similar project planning software is a plus.
Experience using Navisworks for reviewing REVIT models.
Willingness and ability to travel for project assignments as needed.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, contractors, design teams, and other stakeholders.
