?? Key Responsibilities ??
-Collaborate with leadership and departments to define equipment, material, and product needs (MRP).
-Oversee daily department workflow and manage purchasing staff.
-Obtain and assess quotes, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely follow-up.
-Analyze material availability, predict future supply needs, and adjust based on market conditions.
-Process purchase orders, draft policies, and ensure smooth contract management.
-Evaluate goods for quality, price, and reliability.
-Negotiate and resolve issues with suppliers, and coordinate surplus material disposal.
-Maintain purchasing records and systems; analyze quarterly purchasing budgets.
?? Required Skills & Experience ??
-5+ years of prior purchasing experience, ideally in a related industry.
-Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
-Experience with ERP systems (MAS 200, Sage 100, etc.).
-Expertise in manufacturing, job costing (WIP), and BOM (Bill of Materials) for industrial equipment.
-Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
?? Preferred Qualifications ??
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
