AppleOne is seeking Ophthalmology Quality Assurance auditors for a leading healthcare technology company dedicated to improving patient care.

Job Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Auditor - Ophthalmology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient chart notes and coding. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

Chart Note Documentation: Listen to and accurately document patient visits in our electronic health record.
Chart Note Auditing: Review and audit chart notes for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
Code Assignment: Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to chart notes.
Code Auditing: Verify the accuracy of codes assigned by our technology platform.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Team Lead to develop and implement new processes and workflows.
Communication: Effectively communicate with the Quality Assurance Team Lead, Training and Implementation Department, and providers to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in healthcare documentation and coding
1+ year of ophthalmology coding experience
One of the following credentials: CPC, COC, CPMA, CPPM, CDEO, CPMS (knowledge-based tests required)
Typing speed of 70+ WPM (typing test required)
Strong understanding of claims adjudication processes and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
