Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or a field related to the products being developed.
5 or more years of experience in a related field.
Bilingual (English and Spanish).
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager (QA Manager) will oversee the activities of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes. This includes implementing regulatory agency regulations and good manufacturing practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
Establish and define appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
Communicate quality standards and parameters to the QA team, product development team, and other relevant staff.
Oversee the food safety program and lead the food safety team by providing guidance, training, and support.
Coordinate and participate in product testing processes.
Review client, customer, and user feedback.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Manage existing resources to maintain an efficient and productive operation.
Ensure that both short- and long-term goals for the manufacturing and quality departments are achieved.
Effectively coordinate subordinate duties, including quality parameters reports and departmental task lists.
Foster a proactive, team-oriented work environment.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Prepare and develop a training schedule in accordance with the plan established by the Human Resources Department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with the policies, procedures, and processes established by the organization.
