We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector I to join our growing team. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in product quality inspection techniques and processes in an exciting and dynamic aerospace environment.
As a Quality Control Inspector I, you will learn and apply in-process product quality inspection techniques in compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines (including FAA requirements). You will use various precision measuring tools and testing equipment to ensure that products meet the required specifications. This role will involve interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and inspection instructions to assess the quality of parts and materials.
You will be responsible for:
• Learning and practicing in-process product quality inspection requirements and techniques.
• Using measuring tools and testing equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and scales to inspect products.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and shop sketches to verify product specifications.
• Conducting visual inspections and certifying visual acuity as per regulations.
• Following prescribed inspection procedures to accept or reject parts based on whether they meet quality standards.
• Working closely with production teams to ensure that products comply with all regulatory, quality, and customer requirements.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspection results and communicating any quality issues to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborating with the team to continuously improve inspection processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Education: High School Diploma (preferred).
• Experience:
o Prior experience with measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and dial indicators is preferred.
o Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
o Previous use of inspection tools is preferred.
• Skills & Abilities:
o Strong math skills and an ability to apply them to product inspection tasks.
o Ability to read and understand blueprints, equipment manuals, and shop sketches.
o Ability to understand and communicate in English, in compliance with FAA regulations.
o Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and accountability.
o Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong hand-eye coordination for precise inspection and measurements.
o Ability to retrieve jobs and move them to the next workstation as needed.
o Ability and willingness to work overtime when required.
• Certifications:
o Certification of visual acuity to required standards.
