This SR. ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER Position Features:

Sr. Project managers are required to effectively balance customer needs, field force needs and office support staff needs while still maintaining a long range vision of their projects. Sr. Project managers also provide leadership and assistance to other project managers in the company and act as role models for others to follow.

- Monitor CTC and Work in Progress Budget
- Enhance scheduling and update weekly schedules in the ERP system
- Lead Construction Kickoff meetings using Project Brief
- Develop Risk Development Plans
- Create Short Interval Schedules (SIS)
- Ensure the timely development of SISs by foremen on all projects
- Conduct weekly reviews of SISs with foremen to verify labor units match Risk Detail
- Oversee long lead material procurement
- Manage all project documentation requirements
- Utilize Issue Management to identify and address problems
- Estimate and manage Change Orders
- Coordinate and participate in weekly manpower meetings
- Provide accurate weekly projections of workforce needs based on PMPs
- Manage and communicate issues with HR regarding foremen and field force
- Make necessary manpower adjustments as needed
- Coordinate major buyouts for projects with Sales and Supply Chain Management
- Review and approve Submittals
- Manage subcontractors
- Oversee release of major materials procured through long lead item procurement
- Supervise day-to-day tasks of support staff
- Provide direction and leadership to the team of Assistant Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Project Engineers as per their respective job descriptions
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by overseeing Change Order management, job site risk management, security, safety meetings, quality control, code enforcement, specialty systems, claims, notice of delay, warranty calls, and contract review
- Coordinate with Estimating for design build and hard bid estimates
- Work with Engineering to set the direction of design based on Sales scope and budget
- Provide feedback and information on design-build projects during the design phase through issue management
- Review and maintain job costs in collaboration with Accounting
- Monitor lien time durations and decide on lien or stop notice actions when necessary
- Review key factors essential for project success and completion

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 15 years in electrical commercial industry
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and their components
Strong computer skills and experience with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Microsoft AX, Microsoft Project, etc)
Strong in math and deductive reasoning
