AppleOne Staffing is searching for a safety professional looking to make a significant impact on a large-scale operation. Our trucking company, with over 200 drivers across the Southeast, is seeking a skilled Safety Manager to oversee our safety initiatives and ensure the well-being of our drivers.
About the Role:
This fast-paced role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to build relationships. You will be responsible for:
• Create and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures that align with FMCSA and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, driver performance reviews, and training sessions to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
• Thoroughly investigate accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs to minimize costs and expedite recovery.
What You Bring:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• CSP or similar certification a plus
• Proven experience in safety leadership or a related role
• In-depth knowledge of FMCSA regulations and compliance best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with drivers and management
• A passion for safety and a commitment to preventing accidents and injuries
