A leading company in the financial services and annuities industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team! This role is responsible for supporting Finance and Accounting objectives, leading financial statement preparation, managing reconciliations, overseeing tax filings, and ensuring compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations.
-Provide daily cash summary reports and manage cash reconciliation activities.
-Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and documentation requested by external auditors.
-Work with banking institutions to resolve treasury-related issues, prepare wires, and manage user access.
-Partner with Human Resources to ensure timely and accurate payroll postings, accruals, and reconciliations.
-Lead corporate and state tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
-Conduct internal quarterly SOC audits to verify compliance across the organization.
-Ensure balance sheet reconciliation accuracy and investigate variances.
-Complete reconciliations in Blackline and lead quarterly balance sheet discussions.

Qualifications & Skills:
? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required.
? Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
? Experience with Sage Intacct, Blackline, Stampli, Expensify, and Salesforce is a plus.
? Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation.
? Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
? Experience in financial reporting, payroll processing, and internal audit processes.
