Job Opportunity: Senior Financial Analyst (Healthcare)

Are you an experienced financial professional with a strong background in healthcare and a passion for transforming complex data into actionable business insights? We are looking for a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategies and operational efficiency.

In this high-impact position, you will drive key financial analysis, oversee revenue recognition processes, and collaborate closely with leadership to help guide the company’s financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders, providing clear insights into business performance.

Performance Evaluation: Analyze consolidated, company-wide, and business unit financial performance, comparing actual results against prior periods and budgets. Provide in-depth analysis of key financial and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Financial Reporting Systems: Develop and maintain financial reports using the Company’s selected accounting software (i.e., Sage Intacct), ensuring high data quality and accuracy.

Variance Analysis & Recommendations: Lead variance analysis, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations for operational improvements to senior leadership.

Dashboard Management: Drive the development and maintenance of monthly financial and operational dashboards that provide critical insights for decision-making.

Budget & Forecast Preparation: Take an active role in the creation of the annual operating and capital budgets, as well as any necessary periodic revisions. Provide leadership support for forecasting as required.

Long-term Financial Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term financial and operational plans that align with company objectives and goals.

Revenue Recognition & Analysis: Oversee the monthly revenue recognition process for multiple business lines (FFS, HMO, and incentives), ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Cost Analysis: Lead monthly medical cost analyses and budget comparisons for clinics and regions, identifying opportunities for cost containment and operational improvements.

Audit Support: Collaborate with the Accounting and Revenue Cycle teams to support internal and external audits, as well as regulatory reviews.

Data Reconciliation: Ensure the quality of financial data presented internally and externally through reconciliations between source systems (e.g., ADP, Practice Management reports, and Datawarehouse).

Ad-hoc Reports & Analysis: Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by business leadership, helping to inform critical decision-making.

Required Education & Experience:

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Required Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in healthcare (clinics or payors) and/or related industries.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in complex financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a focus on revenue cycle analysis, capitation, fee-for-service, and payer analysis.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other data analytics/business intelligence tools.

Big 4, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Consulting experience is a significant plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior leadership.

Proven ability to collaborate across departments and drive cross-functional projects.

High attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Multi-tasking skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines effective
