Shipping and Receiving Clerk
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role involves performing various shipping, receiving, and mail duties in a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily shipping and receiving duties, including preparation of shipments using banding, shrink wrapping, and packaging in boxes.
• Prepare and affix labels and badges for packages using UPS, FedEx, and USPS systems.
• Schedule and coordinate daily deliveries and pick-ups with UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
• Manage inbound and outbound mail, including USPS mail preparation.
• Communicate professionally, politely, and courteously with all customers (internal and external) regarding inbound and outbound shipments, packages, and mail.
• Answer customer questions and address needs related to shipments and mail.
• Track and record daily volume metrics of inbound and outbound shipments, packages, and mail.
• Utilize pallet jacks and similar equipment for handling shipments.
Physical Requirements:
• Perform duties that involve bending, twisting, and lifting.
• Be on your feet for up to an hour at times.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. (assistance available for weights exceeding 50 lbs.).
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in using PC and laptop with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Slack for communication.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional, polite, and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and twisting.
