Role Overview:
As the Manufacturing Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of all factory operations. You will drive operational excellence, develop and mentor your team, and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong presence on the factory floor and a commitment to fostering a dynamic and competent workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Lead all aspects of factory operations with a hands-on approach.
Develop and mentor direct reports, ensuring expertise in manufacturing techniques.
Set and enforce performance expectations, leading by example.
Cultivate a collaborative and ambitious work environment.
Collaborate with design functions to enhance design for manufacturability (DFM).
Develop and implement a plant performance management system.
Enforce company policies and ensure compliance.
Understand and support automated manufacturing processes.
Refine and develop a robust maintenance and reliability program.
Operations:
Oversee financial management (plant P&L), purchasing, scheduling, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, quality assurance, and engineering.
Develop and manage annual manufacturing business plans and budgets.
Optimize production lines for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure operational activities align with the plant's operating plan.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization practices.
Reporting/Finance:
Develop and manage budgets, actively monitoring financial health.
Provide quarterly progress reports, including financial projections and KPI monitoring.
Communicate effectively with investors, executives, and stakeholders.
Strategy:
Oversee the go to market strategy for building products.
Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships.
Qualifications:

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the team.
15+ years of manufacturing management experience.
5+ years of experience in general management or operational leadership.
Solid understanding of building products (cabinetry, windows, trusses, wall panels preferred).
Experience in off-site, modular, or panelized construction preferred.
Experience overseeing highly automated production facilities preferred.
Proven track record of successfully ramping up factory production.
Working knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent time management, coaching, and mentorship skills.
English speaking required; Spanish speaking a plus.
