We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist with manufacturing experience. We are an expanding automotive company with opportunities for growth! Duties include providing accurate and timely purchase order processing and ETA status updates while maintaining inventory control and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Develop procurement policies: Establish, analyze and optimize the business’s procurement strategy ensuring alignment with business goals. Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement policies and standard methodologies.
• Lead collaboration with stakeholders and internal teams: Partner with stakeholders, executive leaders and department heads to understand business needs. Then, establish requirements, scope and criteria for procurement projects.
• Manage vendor selection: Lead initial market research and vendor profiles to aid supplier selection. Create, issue and manage RFPs in a digital RFP management system. Manage proposal evaluation and final vendor selection.
• Build ongoing vendor relationships: Use vendor management best practices throughout the negotiation, contracting, onboarding, and renewal. Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations and supplier risk assessments.
• Analyze procurement data: Collect and interpret procurement data including cost analysis reporting, benchmarking spending data, and return on investment.
• Optimize procurement processes: Perform regular reviews of established procurement processes to ensure continuous improvement, by refining policies, due diligence questionnaires and RFP templates.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant area such as supply chain management, engineering or business required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum three years’ experience in sourcing or procurement in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical/project management skills with Deliverable-focused, with strong work ethic.
• Bilingual (English/Chinese) preferred, but not required.
• High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement and Category Management processes/methodologies.
• Pivot table and VLOOKUP experience.
• Strong negotiation skills, ability to build relationship with current (based in the US) and new vendors and experience sourcing for multiple product lines.
