We’re looking for a talented Specification Writer/Project Team Member to play a pivotal role in our Architectural Team. What You’ll Do
As a Specification Writer, you’ll be at the core of our architectural process, ensuring every aspect of our projects is thoughtfully planned and documented. Your responsibilities will include:

Crafting Specifications:

Interpret architectural plans and prepare specifications to serve as critical construction documents.
Write technical descriptions specifying material qualities and properties while finding innovative ways to meet client needs.
Utilize knowledge of material standards, industrial processes, and manufacturing procedures to enhance project outcomes.
Collaborating with the Team:

Work closely with architects, designers, and engineers to align specifications with project goals.
Assist team members in resolving issues related to building materials and installation during the design and construction phases.
Serve as a resource for selecting building products and materials, recommending alternatives when needed.
Ensuring Code Compliance:

Develop and refine project specifications in compliance with building codes, industry standards, and structural requirements.
Stay updated on material innovations, construction techniques, and regulatory changes.
Maintaining Quality:

Review and edit specifications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project objectives.
Manage and maintain master specifications, tailoring them to meet specific project needs.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional with the following qualifications:

Experience:

10+ years of recent design and construction specification experience, including large-scale, technically complex projects.
Familiarity with CSI principles, building codes, and construction materials.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency with BSD SpecLink, BlueBeam, and familiarity with Revit.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field required.
Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) license or registered architect preferred.
Soft Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Collaborative mindset with a commitment to teamwork and innovation.
