Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive financial reports, evaluating financial performance, and supporting various financial operations across our organization. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as senior leadership, to provide actionable insights, improve operations, and contribute to long-term financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluate company-wide and business unit financial performance by comparing actual results to prior periods and budgets, including analyzing key financial and performance metrics.
Develop and maintain financial reports using Sage Intacct (or other selected accounting software).
Conduct variance analysis, identify financial trends, and make actionable recommendations to operational leaders and providers.
Assist in the development and maintenance of monthly financial and operational dashboards.
Contribute to the creation and ongoing revision of the annual operating and capital budgets and assist in the preparation of forecasts.
Support the development of long-term financial and operational plans.
Manage the monthly revenue recognition process for multiple business lines, including FFS, HMO, and incentives.
Prepare monthly medical cost analyses and budget comparisons for clinics and regions.
Provide support to the Accounting and Revenue Cycle teams during internal and external audits and regulatory reviews.
Ensure the quality of data presented internally and externally through reconciliations between source systems (e.g., ADP, Practice Management Reports, Datawarehouse).
Create ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by business leadership.
Required Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry (clinics or payors) or a relevant industry.
At least 3 years of experience in complex financial analysis and/or budgeting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other data analytics/business intelligence tools.
Big 4, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Consulting background preferred.
