Immediate need for a Staff Accountant to work for engineering firm located in Long Beach!
The ideal candidate will bring with them a strong background in a wide range of accounting duties.
Responsibilities
Knowledge and experienced in managing end to end AP/AR processes
Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts, and income and balance sheet statements
Audit invoices, expense reports, and payments
Actively contribute to the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations
• Assist in payroll process and verifying benefit accrual balances.
• Prepares weekly cash flow report for Department Manager
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payments
• Prepares and accrues monthly commissions based on prior month billings
• Pro actively analyze financial activities of the company and departments to provide insightful input into budget planning and preparation processes
Skills and Experience
• BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, a plus
