m partnering with a General Contractor in Fort Lauderdale seeking a Construction Accountant with expertise in Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting, percentage of completion revenue recognition, and construction financial reporting. This is a full-time role requiring a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage WIP schedules, tracking project costs, revenue, and budget variances.
Oversee job costing, expense tracking, and project profitability analysis.
Perform bank, balance sheet, and credit card reconciliations.
Maintain and track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Ensure accuracy in general ledger and support month-end and year-end close.
Process and apply accounts receivable payments and monitor aging reports.
Assist with audits (including workers' compensation and year-end financial audits).

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience—construction industry experience required.
Proficiency in construction accounting software (Sage 300, Procore, or similar).
Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, and project costing.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
