Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage daily accounts payable and receivable processes, including check runs, ACH transactions, and vendor management.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Collections & Billing: Handle collections, billing, and aging reports, ensuring timely payment and resolution of outstanding balances.
• Journal Entries & Audits: Record journal entries, assist with audits, and conduct thorough research to resolve discrepancies.
• Task Organization: Organize and prioritize daily financial operations, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing processes.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and perform account reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently while ensuring accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of financial policies and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with vendor management and collections.
• Background in auditing and financial research.
• Comfortable with managing financial operations and preparing reports for management.
