Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Staff Accountant to join our team! This role requires a highly skilled individual with advanced Excel capabilities, including proficiency in Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for handling general ledger activities, reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage general ledger entries and ensure the accuracy of all transactions
Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations for all accounts
Utilize advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.) to analyze financial data and generate reports
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Review and verify journal entries, ensuring they align with company policies
Handle ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounting or finance (Staff Accountant or similar roles)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and other advanced functions)
Strong understanding of general ledger and reconciliation processes
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of accounting software (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus)
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required)
