Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team! The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance team by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with the month-end and year-end close processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
The Staff Accountant will process accounts payable and receivable transactions, reconcile bank and credit card statements, and maintain and organize financial records and documentation.
In this role you will prepare financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, as well as support audits by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
The Staff Accountant will monitor and analyze accounting data to identify discrepancies or trends, assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
