Duties/Responsibilities
Reviews all video footage recorded images in transit terminals, RTA facilities or RTA buses in response to customer service complaints or for accident reviews and other administrative matters that have to be recovered by RTA personnel, or any other element of the Agency.
Ensures complaints, accidents, or incidents within bus services are reviewed, downloaded and stored based on procedure and requests from the Operations, Contract Operations, and/or Maintenance Departments.
Oversees and coordinates work efforts independently and reports progress and major developments to the appropriate management personnel.
Recovers images upon request and administers all video evidence reports and recovered video images, to include accountability, accuracy, storage and retrieval of bus accidents, incidents, complaints, and/or any requests from authorized personnel.
Researches/investigates accident claims by identifying employee, vehicle, scheduling wireless downloads, viewing, copying and archiving videos. This process includes coordination with Operations, Maintenance, and Information Technology Departments.
Reviews all requests for digital video evidence and forwards copies of the downloaded images to authorized parties in a manner consistent with established policy.
Maintains a log of all downloaded recordings to include the date of the event, the date of the request, the date of downloading and the persons to whom copies were sent. Clearing downloaded videos off the server timely, maintaining adequate file space on a continuous basis.
Dispose of and/or destroy records and recordings in accordance with the Agency’s retention policy.
Answers and screens incoming telephone calls; schedules appointments; maintains confidential files.
Maintains claim data file in Access, workers’ compensation files, various OSHA reporting logs, First Aid Log, as well as various files and records. Archives documents as needed.

Assists in processing department mail and with reception coverage as needed.
Coordinates department projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, Ability, Experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using who numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Knowledge of basic office equipment and personal computers. Familiarity with software programs such as Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, Access, etc., of which Microsoft Excel is required. Ability to effectively create and use spreadsheets.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, three years of senior-level clerical experience and two years experience in claims, safety, OSHA and risk management responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
