Compliance Manager
San Juan, PR
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading, reviewing, and supporting the company's compliance area. This includes government tax filings, estimated payments, records and processes in SURI, licenses, among others, ensuring compliance with Puerto Rico and federal laws and regulations applicable to the company. The manager will also be responsible for leading external audits for the company’s financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Additionally, they will provide support for compliance processes in other regions where the company operates, ensuring that local and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
Experience: 3 years in compliance with laws and regulations and/or 3 years of experience in a similar supervisory position in accounting.
Knowledge in Accounting: Familiarity with the full accounting cycle and GAAP. Economic principles, compliance management.
Economics and Finance: Knowledge of economic principles and practices, financial ratios, compliance with banking regulations, and financial report analysis.
Work Experience: Experience in compliance and taxation. Preferably, experience in a public accounting firm.
Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Languages: Spanish/English.
