Our client is known for providing high-quality financial and tax advisory services to individuals and businesses in our local Temecula Valley. Currently this client is looking for a Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent to come join their team! Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CPA Enrolled Agent to join our dynamic team. The CPA Enrolled Agent will play a critical role in our tax practice by providing expert tax advice, preparing complex tax returns, and representing clients before the IRS. This position reports directly to the Tax Manager. Responsibilities: In this role you will prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and nonprofit organizations as well as ensure compliance with tax regulations and maximize tax efficiency for clients. You will also provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients, including analyzing financial data, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and recommending strategies to minimize tax liabilities. You will be asked to conduct meetings and consultations with clients to discuss tax implications of business decisions, estate planning strategies, and other financial matters as well as communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner. This position will require you to represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities during audits, appeals, and other tax-related matters as well as prepare responses to IRS inquiries and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients. For this role you must stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance for clients. Prepare and file required tax forms and disclosures accurately and on time as well as build and maintain strong client relationships based on trust, integrity, and professionalism. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on all tax-related issues. In this role you will collaborate with other members of the tax team, including CPAs, tax preparers, and administrative staff, to deliver comprehensive tax solutions and excellent client service as well as stay current with industry trends, tax legislation, and professional standards by participating in continuing education programs and obtaining required CPE credits. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory services, with a strong focus on tax preparation, planning, and IRS representation. Experience with complex tax issues and high-net-worth individuals/businesses preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem FX, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and provide strategic tax advice. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to clients and team members. Ethics and Integrity: Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism in all client interactions and business dealings.
