Terminal Manager
About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Terminal Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy terminal. This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the trucking industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in dispatch, sales, and terminal management.

Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence: Oversee all terminal operations, including dispatch, dock operations, and maintenance.
Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a high-performing team of dispatchers, dockworkers, and other terminal personnel.
Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.
Financial Performance: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Safety and Security: Prioritize safety and security by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Terminal Manager or in a similar role within the trucking industry.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in transportation management software and TMS systems.
In-depth knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
