Salary Range: $91,000 to $106,000 (commensurate with experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Utilities Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, installing, integrating, and maintaining Industrial Control Systems (ICS) for water treatment/distribution and wastewater treatment/collection facilities. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in SCADA systems, PLC programming, HMI development, and process improvement, along with a commitment to ensuring data security and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, program, and commission SCADA-based automated control systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, test, and implement process control improvements.
Provide technical support for design, construction, and startup phases of capital infrastructure projects.
Troubleshoot and support plant control systems, instrumentation, motor control equipment, power distribution equipment, and UV systems.
Develop and modify Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, graphics, and reports.
Create and maintain CAD electrical drawings and technical documentation.
Review, write, and modify PLC, SCADA, and HMI application codes.
Train plant operations and maintenance staff on new equipment.
Participate in procurement and administrative tasks related to purchasing equipment.
Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably with ICS-related software.
Valid driver’s license (ability to obtain a City driving permit if required).
Knowledge of Modicon PLCs, AutomationDirect PLCs, Wonderware, and Ignition software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to chemicals, solvents, and dust.
