Our client is looking to hire a Warehouse Associate responsible for performing a variety of duties within their warehouse operation to ensure the efficient storage, processing, and shipping of products. The role involves tasks such as receiving goods, inventory management, order picking and packing, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Warehouse Associates will be responsible for preparing orders for shipment, and ensuring that products are stored in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Storing Inventory:
Receive inbound shipments, verify products against packing slips, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
Properly store products in designated areas to ensure easy access and accurate inventory tracking.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with customer specifications.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track orders, update inventory, and monitor order status.
Inventory Management:
Assist in regular inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
Report discrepancies, damages, or low stock levels to the supervisor or inventory manager.
Shipping and Receiving:
Prepare and stage outbound shipments according to shipping instructions and delivery deadlines.
Safety and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
Ensure safe handling of equipment and tools to prevent injury or accidents.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and assisting colleagues when necessary.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a productive, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems (WMS).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
Ability to lift heavy objects (typically up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Basic math skills to handle inventory and order management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying temperatures.
